Tracy McGrady Works Out for Clippers and Bulls

From • July 22, 2010

The Los Angeles Clippers and Chicago Bulls both recently worked out former all-star Tracy McGrady. The teams are interested in signing the free agent, they just need to see if he can still play.

Likewise, McGrady has shown interest in going to a contender. The Clippers are an up-and-coming team, but nowhere near a title contender. The Bulls, on the other hand, have the pieces set to become a title contender. Whoever McGrady picks he probably won't start but will be relegated to the role of the 6th man. Barring any more injuries to his back and knee, Tracy should provide a solid scoring presence for any bench.

The Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers also seem interested in acquiring a player of Tmac's caliber. The Lakers can only offer him $1.8 million the first year and the Heat can offer him a little more. Both teams need a solid scorer off the bench, both can offer him a chance for a ring, and both teams can offer him a grand exit from the game of basketball.
